More About Freshman Orientation- August 12!On August 12th, Link Crew hosts Annual Freshman Orientation at Will C. Wood High School. Freshman Orientation is not to be missed. Please make sure that your freshman attends. At 8:00 A.M. our fun filled day starts in the Molina Gymnasium with an opening assembly where our freshmen will be introduced to the Will C. Wood family with some great activities. Orientation is a great opportunity for incoming freshmen to meet new students as well as meet some great upperclassmen. Orientation will acquaint freshmen with Will C. Wood as well as answer any questions or concerns they may have about high school. Freshmen students will be paired up with trained upperclassmen (Link Crew Leaders) whose job is to help our freshmen to succeed. All freshmen students will walk away with their tentative class schedules, knowing what to do on the first day of school, and having a great sense of what it means to be part of the Wildcat family. Orientation ends by about 12:30 P.M. For freshmen who attend orientation, there is a special free Freshman BBQ and Dance (for frosh and Link Leaders only) that evening from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. starting in the Main Quad for the BBQ and ending in the Molina gym. The transition to high school can be tough, but Link Crew is committed to making that transition as successful as possible. We want all of our freshmen to succeed. So mark your calendars. This is one event you don’t want to miss! Freshman Parent Orientation While your students are attending the Link Crew Freshman Orientation, you are invited to attend an orientation for parents of freshmen. We will meet in the CatWalk Theatre from 8:00 A.M. to 9:30 A.M. The following speakers will be making a short presentation: Superintendent John Aycock, Principal Chris Strong, Athletic Director Mark Wudel, Boosters Club President Desiree Esler, Head Counselor Lili Fisher, and the ASB President. This is a parent only meeting. New Student Orientation For those students who are new to our school, but are not freshmen, we will be holding a new student orientation on August 11th from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the CatWalk Theatre. This is a great opportunity to become acquainted with the campus and activities at Will C. Wood High School. |
